Lighthouse Point and Bahamas Itineraries Published in 2024
The Disney Magic will take guests from Fort Lauderdale to a new private Bahamian destination called Lighthouse Point in summer 2024. The destination is family-friendly and features Bahamian artistry. It is committed to conservation.
The June 2024 sailing to Lighthouse Point is the first. Disney Vacation Club members can sail on two cruises in this period and will enjoy visits to Lighthouse Point, Castaway Cay and both Lighthouse Point during these trips.
Disney Treasure will feature a new adventure theme
Disney will add Disney Treasure, a sixth cruise ship to its fleet in 2024. This ship will have a new design, inspired by adventure. It will also feature Aladdin & Jasmine on its magic floor.

It will have a 3-deck atrium inspired by a gilded palace, which is similar to the design of the Disney Wish. In the ship’s Grand Hall, you will find a central statue featuring Jasmine and Aladdin.
More Adventures in Alaska or the Caribbean
Disney will be offering sailings from Alaska on the Disney Wonder starting in 2024. It will provide more opportunities for guests and new ways to see the state. This will include five-, seven- and nine-night itineraries that will stop at ports like Ketchikan and Skagway, as well as Icy Strait Point, where guests can experience a coastal rainforest.
More itineraries are also scheduled for the Disney Fantasy and Disney Wish, cruising to sun-kissed islands in The Bahamas and Caribbean. A round-trip journey from Port Canaveral, Florida to the Bahamas will be one of these itineraries. It will also include a visit at Castaway Cay.
A New Private Bahamas Destination Is On Its Way
Disney announced plans this spring to open a second private Bahamas island. This new destination will be located at the southern tip Eleuthera and will be part of a partnership with Disney’s Castaway Cay resort.
Lighthouse Point will become the resort's new name. It will offer family-friendly activities and eco-themed experiences. Additionally, the resort will feature unique programming in its Arts and Cultural Pavilion and many shore excursions created with local tour operator.

On February 28, 2021, a male passenger on a Disney cruise nearly drowned while on a visit to the family beach at Castaway Cay. This accident was a reminder to Disney that safety is paramount.
